suspension lift for 2wd truck???????

I was talking to a friend earlier today who said that he is going to raise the front of his truck (01 Chevy ext cab) by replacing the rubber disc by the A arm?? He helped a friend do this to his truck this past weekend and said that it only cost $110. They got all the parts and tools from O'Reilly's auto parts. He could not remember what the part was called exactly but he said it was basically a rubber disc that went on the A arm and raised the front the of the truck by 2". Has anyone heard of this? He is going to be doing this to his truck this weekend and said that he would write down everything that I would need to get in order to lift mine.

He might be talking about a Spring Spacer kit you can get. That is what I think I'm going to do to help level out my front end due to the grille guard I have.

You will run into possible issues, the same ones that could occur from cranking torsion bars, like wearing out ball joints and tierods faster due to being in a more limited position. Suspension downtravel will be affected a well so longer shocks would be a good idea or the ride will be craap, because there isn't room for the suspension to cycle downward. I would look into new spindles because they don't have these same issues.
