I am a newbie! Whoo Hoo

Just thought I would check in and say hello. I am new to owning a truck and purchased one for all of $2.00. Yes, $2 or eight quarters. Friends are nice. Besides that it's hard to haul drywall and home improvement stuff in a Prelude. My "new" truck is a Chevy Cheyenne 1500 W/T with 190000+ miles and a seventies cap missing a side window. It also burns oil (alot) and has the passenger side bumper pushed in slightly. The good? No rust, the A/C works and a bedliner.

I do know a little bit about cars, but mostly only Honda's. I know that won't go over big here, but oh well. :D I own a Chevy truck now right? :D

Anyway, I am sure I will ask lots of dumb questions, but hopefully people will help this Honda owner anyway.

My goals for this truck? First repair whats wrong...

REPLACE ENGINE! I just want a non trashed 4.3L V6

Fix misc. dents, which are everywhere

Straighten front end out, it isn't bad, but the passenger headlight is out of whack.

Fix rust on tailgate. It's not bad at all, I didn't even notice it before so I can nip it in the bud.

Upgrades...

Add Cruise Control! This is a must! :D

Change front end from the black plastic W/T :D to any other front end

Buy some stock 15' 2WD alloy wheels

Add power windows and power locks

Change from a solid bench to a split or buckets

Hopefully people here have done some of these things and will be willing to help!

Again, I really don't know much about the trucks but I am looking forward to learning. :D
