Brake Issue on a 2003 1500 HD Crew CAb 4X4

I have a 2003 Chev 1500 HD Crew Cab 4X4 and it appears like the front brakes started to drag today. I have pulled the the front wheels and the brake pads still have over 80% of their wear remaining and the rotors have no rust on them. I have only 20,000 miles on the truck; of which most is on-road driving. Any ideas on what is causing this issue??

Thanks

What makes you believe the front brakes are starting to drag?

I have a steady noise from the front end and when I apply the brake the noise level increases.

Doesn't sound like something that would be the result of dragging brakes which don't necessarily make any noise as long as the brakes are not metal to metal.

If its not the brakes do you have any idea what could cause this noise?

I have a similiar situation on my 05 1500HD crewcab 4x4 6.0. Sometimes when I hit the brakes it feels like they just slip and a groaning noise is heard in the left front brake. The truck has 37000 miles on it and has mostly highway miles with no towing.
