Lifting a truck

This is my first post as a member of this board and i'd like to say yall are some of the nicest people i've seen on a message board in some time.  Ok, heres the problem I have, I have a 97 Chevy Silverado, no lift, everything stock.  I don't want a big lift but something that would make it a tad more higher than it currently is.  Being a 16 year old, i'm pretty much flat broke, so my budget as you can guess is cheap, but not to cheap that it isn't good quality.  Oh, another thing, it's a 2WD, and you know with the 2WD the front end is a little lower than the back, is there a good way I can raise the front end...would that effect anything in a bad way on the truck?

Hmmm, well, first off welcome to the forum.  What about getting a 3" body lift as dihappy suggested and if the front end is still too nose down for you get some coil spring spacers, or some drop shackles for the rear.  You could do this lift easily on a budget.
