Stupid Center Caps

Yesterday I bought a set of the factory aluminum wheels with chevy center caps thinking that the GMC center caps from my steel wheels would work. Now i realize that the two are not interchangeable. On the inside of the center cap you can see 3 holes where the emblem is glued to the center cap, is there any way to pop the center emblem out and swap the two?

I am also debating machining an 1/8" off the bottom of the GMC cap so that the black lug screw covers will reach the lugs. Has anyone over tried modifing the center cap to fit?

If all else fails i could try to find a set of GMC Center caps on ebay.
