I have an 02 and i like the newer taillights much better. would it be a direct swap or what?

Not exact, the bulb bases to your existing tail lights won't fit exactly, but with slight modifications they work fine. I out a pair on my 99, no problems.

The lamps are a direct fit to your 2002.

 

You can choose to also get 2003+ Chevy harnesses as they have 4th bulb (peanut) that your 02 harness does not have.

Second option is add the peanut bulb socket to your existingharness.

 

Another option is just run your 3 bulb harness and go with it.

Wow so Can i put the 03-05 tailights on my 1999 silverado just need to addapt the base? I was thinking of getting a new bed from an '03-'05' because mines a little beat up would that work also?

One more quick question....Will the GMC Yukon Denali XL from the 2001- 2006 models front end fit on my 1999 Silverado just bolt on? Fenders lights hood bumper?
