What size speakers are the fronts on the Silverados, specifically the 2003's? My right one has been replaced once under warranty, but it's going out again so I'm going aftermarket for the front and rear. I believe the rears are 4x6's and I'm thinking the fronts are 6 1/2". Am I correct?

On my 2005 CCSB, all four speakers are 6.5". I just changed my fronts out with a 3-way from Sony. Much brighter on the mid to high range. Going to change the rears this weekend.

The stock fronts are 6.75". The rears (in regular cab) are 4X6. I just replaced all four in my '06 GMC with Pioneers. I used 6.5" in front with no problems. I went through Crutchfield because the give you everything you need - ALMOST. No mounting screws were provided for the rears. I needed to go to a hardware store for some self tapping screws. Crutchfield did give me credit for the cost of the hardware though.

I got the budget Pioneer TS-G Series. They are better than the stock speakers. A little more base, tighter mides and highs. Can play louder with less distortion. I'm keeping the Factory CD Head Unit I bought off EBay to replace my AM/FM only unit.

+1 on Crutchfield. I always use them for my sound needs!

On your rears, does't the power window motors get in the way? I took a look on my CC doors and the motor is right in it's way.

Yes, I do agree 6.75" actual diameter, but I don't see speakers in a 6.75" sizing, unless you're using adapter rings. 6.5" work - just need to drill new holes to mount them.
