If by "torsion twist" you mean cranking the torsion bars, then yes, it will lift the front of your vehicle based on how much your crank them. If you do this, remember to unload the torsion bars by lifting up the front of the truck. In terms of the T-bar keys, the ones that give you "lift" simply have a different indexing on them, creating more of an area for cranking the bars. Either way, if you buy a kit, the rear will probably be lifted via a block or possibly a block an an AAL (add a leaf).

Regardless of what you do, either of these ways will generally put more stress on front end components such as cv joints, steering, and ball joints. Significant upgrades to prevent this is to keep the cv joints at appropriate angles, and to convert the ball joints to uniballs, but this could prove costly.

Truthfully, I would probably go with a 4 inch kit instead, it might cost more, but you will get a sturdy subframe, and drop brackets, along with compression struts, and a new torsion bar bracket and diff cradle. All in all, research is key to getting what you want, and the more you do, the better off you are. Start by searching lifts, or go to www.pavementsucks.com, under forums chevy/gmc and you will find a helluva lot of info on everything you seek.
