Exhaust Install Help

I just had a JBA Catback Exhaust system delivered. I would like to install it myself, the instructions seem to say that the Muffler should slip into both the tail pipe and head pipe via slip joints. Unfortantly I have found that the head pipe and the tail pipe are the exact diameter of the pipes leaveing the muffler. the directions say a mallet might be needed to get them to fit but I can assure you the pipes are EXACTLY the same size making this impossible. If any one can help I would appreciate it. Thanks

the joints need to be flared which takes an exhaust shop.

 

Or you could use some kind of coupler
