Rear wiew mirror Temp error

have an '04 Silverado Z71 with the rear view mirror and compass/temp gauge built-in.

 

The temp gauge is stock with the letters "OC". anybody with a similar problem ?

I believe that stands for out of calibration. Possibly an open circuit/bad connection to the temp sensor.

Mine was giving me a wierd reading about 2 years ago( i believe it said OC but not sure now) and all I did was just reset it. I have not had any problems since. It shows you how to reset it in the owners manual.

0C is zero centigrade. It is displayed when the temp sensor is not seen.
