Driving/Fog light replacement

Time to rehash an old subject. I have searched the forums and have found that some people have replaced their factory driving lights (NOT DRLs) with Hella FF75’s. I have a 2002 1500 and the stock lights have always sucked and this weekend I loss a lens on a camping trip. Stupid thing fell off somewhere. Now I have two options replace it ~$50 off ebay or go aftermarket and hope to get something better.

 

For anyone who has replaced them what did you use?

Did you use the factory harness?

Most aftermarket lights are 55W is the stock harness okay at this rating?

I put 37w bulbs in mine and it melted the reflectors and popped the lenses out. Now Im lookin to replace the whole assembly but want something that mounts stock and can handle 55w.
