Hooker Aerochamber

Everybody is really high on either Flowmaster or Magnaflow but I went with the Hooker Aerochamber and really like it. :) The price was nice also. The local shop carries this as one of his brands and it is what he had on his Silverado so I knew what it sounded like. I went with the single in dual out muffler with 2.25 tail pipes. I got the 3.5 SS tips out the sides. This setup gives me a nice low tone that isn’t too loud but you know it’s there. I don’t get any cab resonance at all at any RPM. On the interstate it is cab quiet with radio on normal and at WOT it sounds great. I would say it is in between Flowmaster and Magnaflow as far as loudness goes. I didn’t notice any loss of low end torque. I am not sure if I got any gains but I know I didn’t loss anything.

Man, am I glad to hear that. I just ordered one from summit today. I'm gonna have a local shop cut the oem unit out and weld the new hooker in. Using stock tailpipe. Couple questions...

1. What size inlet does yours have?

2. What configuration is it inlet/outlet?

3. What's the clearence like.

The unit I ordered is a center inlet 3" and a offset 3" outlet.
