Installed UPD

Yes it took like 40 minutes to install not 10 minutes. Used some soap and a little spit to help slide on. You can tell a difference and notice its there. Truck has more get up and go. I went to do a brake stand and could just sit there until I let off. Before the UPD it didn't do brake stand so easy. So I would recomend a UPD intake to any one and for only $169 to my door step with the group purchase you couldn't ask for more.

its what ya do when ya want new tires!!!!!

i call it power-braking...hold down the brakes and apply the gas till the tires brake free, probably harder with the rear disc brakes to do, but it sounds like you can do it!!!

My uncle showed me when i was 16...my monte-carlo needed new rear wheel cylinders, and new tires....lol

Its a nice kit, however I noticed a friends was rubbing on the fan shroud and it was cutting a groove into the intake tube.

Did you trim the shroud?

Have you checked for rubbing?

BTW...His did this within 200 miles and looked to be fully installed on the throttle body intake port.

No as far as I know there is no rubbing but I will check to make sure. I made sure that when it was put on that nothing was even close to rubbing as I have seen other posts about rubbing in the fan shroud.

I noticed (and the instructions mentioned) that I had to shove the intake tube far and evenly onto the throttle body to keep the tube clear of the fan shroud.  I've been checking that the gap is remaining at about 1/4 inch when I fill up with gas and check the oil.

Yeah mine is rubbing a little bit, just installed it yesterday.  I know it is on there right, but going to take it off and do it again this weekend and trim the fan shroud a little for extra clearance.

Hi everyone Newbie here!

I have a Poweraid TB spacer will that make the UPD intake rub more?

Are you guys running it stock?

Should I ditch the TB spacer?

Thanks in advance
