gas pedal sticking

i have a 2000 z71 and i have had it since it was new. for the last year or so the gas pedal has been sticking and i have to push the pedal pretty hard to loosen it. has anyone ever had the same problem? Any ideas of how to fix it ?

clean out your butter fly at the front of the air intake carbon gets built up in ther ewill take care of it

Ditto, my 2000 z71 was sticking badly so I bought some air intake cleaner at walmart, cleaned the tb and it was as good as new.

thank you both. i read your posts at 9:45 at night and went outside to try it out. i didnt feel like waiting till morning becasue it was that annoying. i went outside and fixed the problem in just a few secs. thanks again

that butterfly sometimes get stuck from K&N filter oil. the oil will stick and so will the dirt. this might not be your case, fyi.
