Cylinder head question

This is probably a dumb question, but I have to ask.

The vortec heads that people are swapping onto TBI trucks...are these the same heads that come on the LS series of engines? I had a "vortech" engine in my 02 Suburban which was a 5.3, but i'm guessing that vortec and the 96-00 are different. I can get a set of 6.0 heads from an 03 Escalade, but I have always been under the impression that LS series heads will not fit standard SBC's

Nope,There not the same heads,and will not work.

The TBI engine in your '95 is a "Gen I" engine,The heads from an '03 Escalade

(Or any 4.8-5.3-6.0 truck engine or '97-up "LS" car engine) would be a "Gen III" engine.

Thanks, thats what I thought, but wanted to make sure before I gave up the heads. So...anyone selling a set of 96-00 vortec heads?
