Gear Swap

I am looking at doing a gear swap. I currently have the factory 4.10's, but am now running 35" tires. Using the standard gear ratio calculator from the old 245/75R16 to 35's puts me at 4.70:1 which is right in between the 4.56 and the 4.88 for getting back to stock "feel". I know alot of people run 4.56's with 35's, but I don't want to lose any low end grunt (like I am now). Also, if I would go to 36" tires in the future that would calc out to 4.88's almost exactly. Anyway, just checking to see if anyone has any experience.

Hey 03HD i just had 4.56 put in my truck that had 3.73 with 35's I think youll be very happy with outcome so far my truck feels much better still have to breakin to really see whats what.You can read my post in 2500HD forum.What are you doing regarding your computer and reprogramming for new 4.88 ratio?

O.k. I got the 4.88's and everything is good. RPM's are a little high on the highway, but I do have an issue with the ABS sensor. I spoke to Jesse @ wait4me and he said he can do all my calibrations, but can not recalibrate the ABS. I went by the dealer and of course they can't do anything because it is not a factory available setup. Does anyone know anybody who can recalibrate the ABS???

what is your Highway rmp running at say at about 70mph?

I ran 4.88 in my k5 with a 10" lift and 39" tires and ran well.
