I just wondered what is the most you can tighten the torsion bars as far as height goes?  Also, after how much will I need to get the front end alignment checked?  Thanks for your help!

Thanks,

Will

Welcome to the forum.

I don't remember how many turns mine took, but I raised it 3/4 inch measured from the edge of the front wheelwells.  There was enough thread left on the bolts to do twice that much but I got enough height to level it out and cheaply gain some nice front-end ground clearance (now have 10.5 inches under the lowest part of the front skid plate) so rather than push my luck I left it.  From what I've seen and read you can do 1 inch easily.

I did get my truck aligned about a week later and it was off.  Any amount of torsion lift will mess up the alignment at least a little.  It's just up to you as to whether you want to spend the $$ on an alignment.   If it's off too much your tires will wear unevenly and you run the risk of wearing out some of the front suspension/drive components prematurely.

Good luck,

Ron
