Do I need hub centric wheels?

Accidentally posted this in the S10 forum, so I thought I'd try it again where it should be.

Finally ordering some new wheels tomorrow. They have a hub centric version and the other kind. Do I need to order hub centric wheels for my truck?

It is a 1996 GMC Sierra 1500 Z71 that came with the 16 X 7 inch, 6 bolt X 5.5 wheels.

Just want to make sure I order the proper ones as I can't return these if I get the wrong ones.

Thanks!

Yours are LUG Centric. However, the '88-'98 can use both hub and lug centric. The '99 and up must be hub centric.

So I am OK to buy hub centric wheels? I won't have to get any spacers or anything like that?

Here are the wheels I was going to order:

Part # 6079-6838 (second one on their list)

Thanks for the help!

You are always better off with hub centric wheels. For lug centric ones you need a special wheel balancing adaptor, which most places do not have.
