Hey guys,,,

well i think i have it narrowed down to a 3" suspension lift with 285/70 tires...now a question for you.

If i have got the cash now for the tires and rims i want should i just go ahead and get those now which make the truck look nice....or shoudl i wait untill i get the lift and get everything done then?

Also i need some info on possibly getting a 17" rim rather thana 16" rim for 285 tires...If i get a 17" rim do i get a little extra lift...or same difference just looks a little more rimy? haha

Dude you don't need a lift to run 285s man, I'm running them now with no lift on factory wheels. Apparently you don't even need the lift to run 305s, I would avoid lifting if you aren't going to try to run a tire that won't fit right now. Use the Ford keys if you're just wanting your truck to sit more level or for like 1-2 inches of lift

Here, I will actually answer your question.

The wait or do it now situation is totally up to you. 285's on a 16 or 17 inch rim will fit on your truck with no torsion bar cranking. 285's or 33" tires are just that size on both size rims, 16's and 17's. Actually 285/70/17's are .1 inches smaller than 285/75/16 are. I am running 285/70/17's.
