Rough ride on the cement freeways

I have a new Silverado 1500 Crew cab that rides like crap on the cement freeways. I'm afraid of giving my baby boy the shaken baby sindrome. We have to hold the car seat for him to have a smoother ride. Can I just change the shocks? What can I do? :banghead:

Is it a regular cab short wheel base?

No, it's a crew cab short bed. I have looked at the tire pressure and it looks like they are over inflated. They are at 41psi and the door sticker says they should be 35psi. The manual says fill to the tire max which is 44psi.

I have a short box and it rides like crap on cement too. I am trying different tire pressures now as an intervention. Ultimately I will probably be getting new shocks in the future. I am sure a combination of new tires (I have the stock firestones now) and upgraded shocks will produce a better ride quality.

Thanx, I'll try all these ideas, but all in all I think it's just that road and no load.

Replace the shocks. The stock shocks stink, no matter how much mileage you have on them. Just did mine (way too late) and they were completely shot. It's worth the investment.
