Here is my situation; I have a plow that gets put on the front of my truck in the winter time. The truck is a 1/2 ton truck and I have a feeling that the torsion bars are in need of being replaced. The bars that are currently on the truck are WY rated for 5913. If I want a bigger bar do I have to stay in the "w" code range or does it matter because there is a WZ bar that is rated for 7267. I wasn't sure if the "w" stood for the hex nut size.

 

I have found someone that has a pair of old bars off of a 2001 Chevy 2500 HD Duramax cc/long bed but doesn't know what code they are since the sticker is missing. Is it possible that these bars would work?
