285/75/16R fit in the spare holding area?

I have read that the 285/75/16Rs will fit the New Tahoes/Yukons but will the spare fit under the truck in the storage area as well?  May sound like a silly question but I just don't want to buy the tires and make a mistake?

Yes, they will.  StepsideZ and (I think) Ryanbab have 285 spares mounted under the bed.

 

I need to get me one soon, just for peace of mind.  I've still got the 265 spare under there, 285 everywhere else.  :lookaround:

Yeah I did the same thing.  The 285 fit fine underneath but for some reason I decided I wanted it in the bed instead.

Where do they keep the rim?  Same place?  Are there other constraints on the SUV?

Just measure the area. The 285 should fit.
