Found a new feature...

Passed a POS Neon Fast lane Hog today and a little ways after that I start to hear a door chime...thought mabey the radio nope is the door open .....nope???? Oh look I left my signal light on and I've turned into one of those old farts that has beeen signalling left for the last 50 miles. Was'nt sure if I was hearing/imagining things so I intentionally left it on this time and sure enuff it starts to chime. I've never heard of this before. AM I the ONLY old fart that has found this feature ???? :blush:

I've never done that so I have no idea... but it sounds like a good reminder for absent minded drivers. I can't stand following cars that forget and leave their signals on, or ride their brakes.

Read your owner's manual. It won't let you drive more than 3/4 mile with the signals on. Good feature for us "old foggies", although I haven't had to "use" it yet.

Ya, there is a long exit ramp with another merge ahead that always triggers the chime for me, especially since I like to signal BEFORE actually changing lanes unlike many other stoopeedo's

I think most (all?) GM cars have had that feature for awhile. My '89 Cutlass Supreme does that too.

Our 95 roadmaster has it also, Dad fraked out when it went on at 65 mph. Though something was overheating or somethin'. I did it too the other day, felt like a tool!

After reading the owners manual from cover to cover when I got my truck, I drove intentionally with the turn signal on. That was a nervous mile or so. I had to make sure no one was around. (I didn't want to be considered one of those "old foggies")
