DRL Shut Off?

Hello,

I'm new to this forum. I drive a 99 GMC Sierra 1/2 Ton. I would like to know if there is a way to disable the daytime running lights. I have tried a few things..pulling fuses and relays and can't seem to get it I might be pulling the wrong ones though. I can push the parking brake down 1 click but then when I start to drive a buzzer comes on and if I remember correctly a light starts flashing by the guage cluster.

Any ideas?

I don't know why GM even included a switch for the headlights if we can't use it!

On some you could push the dome override switch 3 times fast and that would cut them off. I don't know if it applies to your model but you can give it a try. You will have to do it on every ignition cycle.

On the '99s the only way to disable the DRL's (Other than to remove the bulbs themselves) is to remove the fuse,It is located under the hood in the electrical center.

This is what I did on my '99 (as well as my '97)
