heel & toe tire wear on rear tires on 04 yukon xl

Hey guys

I have a bone stock 04 yukon xl with 17" rims and firestone tires.

I have 27k miles on the truck, and I have never rotated my tires.

across the tread, I have no issues, the wear seems pretty normal on the front and rear tires, ie no excessive wear on the inside or outside of the tread.

however on the rears, and only the rears, I have excessive heel-toe wear going on, to the point that just by looking at the tire you can tell the excessiveness, probably about 1/16 of an inch.

any ideas whats going on? the tire guy said it was the shocks, but the dealer says the shocks are just fine.

thx for any insight!.

I would rotate the tires. That way you get the best wear on them. I'm guessing you rear tires are feathering? If you rub your hand accross it you'll feel it. As for toe, you can't adjust it in the rear. The only thing I can think of is if you have the auto ride shoucks in back. Yes those could be a problem or some other part like a bushing. But I go with rotating the tires on a regular basis.
