$7500 question

About a month or so ago I remember seeing an advertisement for $7500 off 2002 Silverados and Avalanches. I believe this was a GM discount to the dealer not a customer rebate. Does anybody know if this is still going on. I am currently in negotiations with a dealer for an Avalanche and he says that the price that he has been advertising for 4 weeks includes the 2500 rebate that was announced last week.
