Dashboard cover? How to get it out

My experience with the dealer went to hell in a handbasket. When they painted it--overspray over everything. I had heart failure nearly. They still missed several spots of course.

I found a dash cover thats new. I tried to remove mine. I got everything off except one area.

It seems that there is a screw on the passenger side that the access is blocked by the air bag.

I disconnected the battery and tried to remove the bag. It's rivited into the dash I believe.

I cant' get the airbag out basically to get to this screw. Does the airbag face fold down to allow access to the screw?

I have an '04, I removed my air bag assembly, it's 4 bolts two that you can see on the metal frame, and two more on either side that go up.

Did you remove your passenger A/C vents and get the screw that are located behind them? They will will out with a flat head screwdriver, or butter knife.

Yeah got those screws out.

I just couldn't figure out the bag for the life of me. I only saw two 10mm bolts holding the bag in bolted to the structural support for the dash.

Where are the other two at? I got the two that face up. There's 4 more??

The two that are like inside the dash going up?

There should be two more that if you're facing the airbag would screw in towards you, you'll have to feel around. It's right above where it looks riveted in, they are also 10mm bolts. You've already got 2 of the four, there's only four.

Well stupid me I got the dashboard to come out without removing the airbag. I did find the bolts however.

No problem. Sorry man, if I knew you were trying to get JUST the dash out I would've told you you didn't need to take out the airbag. I thought you were just wanting to take out the airbag as well.
