billet grille

Has anyone bought putco billet grilles?

They claim no cutting and it bolts over your stick grille. Do they stick out?

Thinking of buying a billet grille but I didn't want to cut out the stock grille, do you guys know any other companies that make bolt on (no cuttiing) billet grilles for a 02 silverado?

I don't know about the grilles, but PUTCO is a top shelf company. I have the pop-up rails from them. Although they cost a little more, I couldn't be more pleased with them. I did have an issue, but customer service next-day air'd me a replacement part and I didn't have to send them the old one back. They even sent extra bolts/gaskets at no charge.

My billet grille, though I don't remember the company, is one that you have to cut out the OEM grille. I wasn't sure how difficult it was going to be, but it turned out to be pretty easy. I think the ones you cut look a lot better, because there really isn't any way for a bolt over to be inset like that, it has to stick out more.

All about your taste, do you want it to be inside or stick out a little bit, it doesn't stick out past the chrome plastic peice, but it is further out.

they had a special on them on "Crank&Chrome"i believe,last weekend.sam&dave demostrated how easy and the different styles they have.looks to me a top notch co.

Yeah I watched that show called The Other Guys Garage or something like that with Dave and Sam and they installed a Putco grille. They even tested other styles of grilles made by Putco and they seemed to fit nicely without no cutting. They just bolt right on. I still like my Stull billet grille but its up to you.
