2000 Silverado widow regulator

Well, I replaced my passenger window regulator on my 2000 Silverado ECSB today due to a snapped cable. I got one from Ebay made in China for $45 with shipping. You can replace just the motor if you want, but it was cheap to buy the whole assembly. So far so good. The dealer wanted $115. It's a pretty straightforward installation, 6 bolts for the regulator and 2 for the window glass channel. Put the regulator bolts in loose on one side, then put the opposite side in, tighten them, then tighten original side, then tighten the window channel glass. Run the window up and down a few times then loosen and then tighten the window channel glass to make sure theres no stress. This process worked great for me.

TIPS: Tape the glass in the "UP" position with duct tape. That will make it easier to install the regulator. You don't have to remove the door handle, just peel back the water shield a bit, the assy will come out thru the bottom door cutout. Pull the door lock switch out of the door panel before you put it on, then snap it into place after the door panel is on, piece of cake.
