2001 tahoe tap tap tap

Been lurking around the site for a while and found a previous post on tapping(not piston slap). Thought it might be lifter. Seafoamed it no change. Took it in and the intake manifold bolts had broke. Fixed those and it now purrs again. Anybody else had there manifold bolts break? BTW it was $972 to fix.

Awfully expensive bolts.

Thats what I thought. They had to tear apart whole left side of engine to get to them. I think it was about 9 hrs labor, required new coolant, oil change, etc.
