'06 Radio ???????

My new '06 LT Ext. Cab does not seem to have any speakers behind the grills in the rear doors.

Are they supposed to be there?

 

Radio is the one with the 6 CD changer and BOSE speakers in the front.

Does sound come out of the grills? There should be speakers in there somewhere.

Are the balance controls turned to the front? If so they wont work. If the controls are set correctly than its off to the service department.

No sound comes out of the speakers.

 

Fade control turned to 100% R sound comes out from under dash somewhere.

 

Dealer said that there arn't speakers in the back doors, nothing definitive in the owners manual.

I think your short 4 speakers and a sub somewhere. Could they have screwed up at the factory? I do not believe that the Bose System comes with less than 4 speakers. I would press the dealer and run the VIN and get the window sticker and that should tell you exactly what sound system should be in the truck. I think your owed some equipment.

turn off your rear audio if you have it. it disables the rear speakers and pipes all the sound to the headphone jacks.

 

do extended cabs even have that option.

 

anyway 6 speakers 2 in A pillar tweeters 2 in fron door mids 1 sub under dash. dunno were the 6th is. possibly in the center console/under center of bench rear mounted.

I thought the sub was in the console?

 

And all the ex-cabs I've seen have 4x6 speakers in the rear doors...No matter what system came with the truck.

i have an '06 yukon denali and it's has the bose sound system and it has a place for a speaker in the rear behind a speaker grill and the tire jack is in the same hole. there is NO speaker in there, i don't know why they'd make a place for a speaker and not put one there, this is a denali, not a WT.
