Eclipse 6600

I am considering installing an Eclipse 6600 in my 2006 Sierra, replacing my factory radio. My goal is to get Nav, DVD movie sharing with headrest DVDs and IPOD integration.

What I don't want to lose is my factory Onstar and steering wheel controls. Can anyone offer advice in support or against this plan? Thanks!

Crutchfield sells the harness for about $100, simple plug in line.

i have an eclipse cd3000 deck and it has the program built in to recognize steering wheel buttons. Now i just need that steering wheel lol. If yours doesnt have it thats just sad but play with the menu it should.

yes you can keep onstar and bose with the metra gmos04 harness i believe 100 dollars. and retain steering controls with the pac swix- eclipse adapter. i have a 5495 and have done this. is fairly siple if you know what youre doing, but works fantastic. hope this helped.

 Hey can someone tell/show (w/ Pics) me how to install my PAC SWI-X steering wheel control adapter. (07' sierra classic) The problem is the instructions saying that I need to use the plug @ the steering wheel rather than the plug @ the stereo. Everything that I have in my truck, inside and out, has been installed by me. I admit defeat and any help is greatly appreciated. :fume:
