88 K5 Blazer- Code 43

Just picked up an 88 K5 Blazer....Single owner- NO RUST. Pretty much all original w/200K miles. Its my 3rd K5, I had an 83, and an 87. This is the first one I have considered keeping the TBI on. I had an 87 that was a basket case, ripped out the ECM/TBI and converted it to a Holley 600 w/big cap HEI. The 83 was a diesel...

 

It is currently throwing a 43 code on the ALDL. (ELECTRONIC SPARK CONTROL) I have checked the wires from the ESC to the ECM....When it lights up the SES light it starts running WEAK.....Up till it lights the SES, its pretty peppy... Anybody had any experience with recovery from this??? What should I try next??

Fixed. Replaced knock sensor, and it went away. Yeah! Replaced the plugs, changed the oil. Runs like a top now.
