04 z71 slug out of the hole?

OK guys i had a issue just the other night ran my 04 truck aginst the new aluminum block 5.3 and he busted my ass out the hole, and i have better gears then him....he's got 342 gears i have 373's both trucks are the same z71, ecsb...ect but one chevy (aluminum block) and my gmc. i have just about the same mods as well....see if you can help me out

corsa cat back, Dynatech supermaxx header, trotle body space, k&n 77, hypertech.

the chevy is running the same stuff just minus the headers i know he has some power advantage to begin with but got me wanting to spend some money to beat him now..lol

am i doing something wrong here

Get a custom tune from Wester's instead of the Hypertech. They can remove most or all of the torque management that slows you down off the line and can also tune for all the mods you have made. They can also retune if you make changes in the future.

ok yeah i thought about that or the diablo hand held, but i was thinking that maybe i need to finish what i started like i have just about everything to compleate the (slp) kit so maybe i need the rockers but d**n $600 thats alot of dough for 10 hp

What were your times if this was on the track? And were you launching in 4Hi, cuz maybe he was.

yeah see i dont have a problem spinning, i know he launched in 2w hi as well, the bridgestone revos, almost wont spin at all. but ive been doing some reading over the weekend and the diablo seems like a cool handheld unit. But i did read the westers tune and that seems awsome, says it can calibrate itself for wich gas your using. dont know ill let you all know what i do
