I would like to know as well I have yet to see one here in Central Florida. The dealership I ordered mine from said this was the 1st VMax they have ever sold.

 

It would be nice if we can keep them rare.

I'd like to drop a 6.0l vmax in my truck I'd get a big decal on the rear and front windows that says "Rice Killer". Put some 4.10's in the rear and hold on!

Mine is the only one my dealer has sold.Has to be rare.These are the only ones besides some 07s`with that front end.

They will be a rare breed for sure. With sky high gas prices everybody went with the 5.3. Not me brother I don't compromise, I don't regret buying my v-max one bit. By far the best truck I have ever owned.

I was interested in buying one that was advertised on eBay. It was a brand new '06, except that the truck was damaged in transit. They said that it was only a $ 700 repair, but when I pressed for details as to what exactly was damaged and replaced, I got nothing but BS for an answer.

Supposedly nobody at the dealership knew what was damaged, supposedly GM could not release this information. WTF? A prospective buyer has no right to know how a new vehicle was damaged?

 

Needless to say, this was a nice truck, LT2 crew cab 4x4 with the Vortec Max and 4.10 gears. The price was $ 30k and change. I would have bought the truck if the damage was only cosmetic, such as hood and it was properly documented with pictures. As it was, these people were morons and that truck was on eBay for a long, long time. No doubt other people got the same stupid answer I did about the damage.

you got 2 drives 2 models and about 4 colors

 

EC 4x4 is the most common it was availble first 2wd i think was available but you know how 2wd sells so prolly the rare EC is the 2wd

CC 4x4 came second and was harder to order and same story with 2wd

 

from the rumors i have herd the gm build a truck thing didn't regester v-max as a option on the cc for a long time you could make one at the dealer but online you would never even know if you didn't ask but the EC was plain as day online.

 

i just lucked into mine dealer tried to find a white one but that was nearly impossible think it was in az or something since i was after 2wd for fuel econmy and well i'm on the road 95% of the time. so i took black and never looked back. that and every LQ4 2500 i looked at was either hand crank windows or leather trim. nothing inbetween.

thought you had to order the v-max on the denali or you got the LQ4, or was that last year. the old version of the VHO has been around a few years. changed the name for '6 to reflect the max towing thing.

The VortecMAX is a 345 HP 5.3L high output and the Denali is a 325 hp 6.0L.

The MAX has different heads and intake to create the HP.

The Vortec HO 6000 or VortecMAX, technically the LQ9, is a special high-output version of the Vortec 6000 V8 truck engine originally designed for Cadillac. This engine was introduced in other truck lines as VortecMAX for 2006. It features high-compression (10:1) flat-top pistons for an extra 10 hp and 10 ft·lbf, bringing output to 345 hp (257 kW) and 380 ft·lbf (515 N·m). LQ9s are built only in Romulus, Michigan.

I was talking about the Vortec Max performance package.It is only on the GMC and Chevy 4x4 and has the HO 6.0 14 bolt rear end with 4.10 gears and 4l70 transmission.

I know there are other performance editions but this is the only one with the Vortec Max performance Package.

Any one know if there is a way to find out how many of them in the Chev and the GMC?
