Exhaust nuts & bolts Question

Anybody know the size nuts used on the exhaust Y-pipe? 3 for each exhaust manifold and 2 to the cat-back? I'm replacing the Y-pipe in my Tahoe this weekend and I wanted to grab some new hardware and hope the exhaust manifold studs hold up. I'll crawl under there if I have to but I was hoping somebody knew off-hand.

One of my cats finally rusted out inside (177K) and buzzes like crazy. Still works fine though as I'm not getting a code.

Thanks in advance.

I am pretty sure the bolts to the Cat-back are metric. But if they are like mine they will probably break off, have to be cut out, then replaced with what ever you want.

As mentioned above, my concern is something breaking. The Y-Pipe has new studs at the back end so I need to find nuts that match. The ones on the exhaust manifold are the ones I am concerned about. I'm more concerned with snapping one of the studs on the exhaust manifild. Hence my interest in having new parts on-hand before starting the work. Seems like I always snap something whenever I DON'T have a spare but if I have spares, nothing goes wrong.

Put on some kroil or pb blasteer and go from there. Unless you live in the rust belt they ought to come apart with little trouble.

Not worried about getting them off. I was more concerned with not enough thread left for it to go back on snug.

In any event.....all 8 nuts are M10 x 1.5. I grabbed some stainless steel ones since the exhaust is stainless. $1.35 each at the dealer versus .70 at Ace Hardware.
