Got my new truck!

Some of you may remember me from this thread http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?...topic=55772&hl=

Well I finally got a new truck (pics below), and some of you may be dissapointed it ain't a chebby. I got a freakin sweet deal on it, and since I am a Mopar Fan at heart, I couldn't jump into a Chevy/GMC. I test drove a F-150, Ram, and Silverado, and Sierra, and the Mopar stole my heart! Solid, and the biggest of the 4, and ehrmm, most powerful. (not trying to start a flame war)

Here are the specs:

2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab, Short bed

5.7l HEMI

Lonestar Edition

3.92 Limited Slip Diff

Loaded!

10,000miles

Financed $17,400 w/ a 6year/90k warranty.

Thanks for the help in my other thread guys! Enjoy your trucks, cause I'll enjoy spankin' em!

nice looking truck man. I looked at one like that but is was a black sport with 20's and the hemi. It drove fine but I loved the sierra better, I just got too burnt on my last truck it was an 01 ram and I replaced the tranny at 65k, heater core, bearings at 50k all that went out but it was still a great truck.

That's ok, my truck is for work not play :D (Ya know, what a truck was built for?)

Besides, it won't be too long before I pass ya at the pumps :flag:

Seriously though, I think Dodge makes a great truck. Enjoy the new ride.

I have a friend that has one of those. You can forget about passing Chevies or gas stations. :D

Well it looks good. You got a pretty good deal too

:flag: best of luck!

This is already in a thread I made, but its a modded hemi in action vs a stock Vortec max!

That vid is pointless. The Ram has 3.55 gears and 35inch MUD TIRES in the rain. Against a truck with 4.10 and stock tires. Correct gearing and tires is almost more important than the motor its self. And just because GM put out a specialty HO motor is a limited amount of trucks doesn't mean all GM trucks are faster. A stock Ram with similar out options as a stock GM truck is just as fast. It's so close that it comes down to the driver most of the time.

Uh huh.

That's ok, my truck is for work not play  :sigh:  (Ya know, what a truck was built for?)

Mine is for play :flag:

But I wouldn't waste my gas on one of those beasts.

Enjoy the new truck man :banghead:

Too bad chrysler has to resort to trickery to get people to buy their trucks. The fact is that "Hemi" is only a hemi in name. They own the trademark to the name, so they can put it on anything they want. The heads are not hemispherical as they are in a true hemi. The only thing they kept true to the original design was the placement of the valves tangent to each other.
