Unless you have XM factory installed it is not that easy.

You will probably need a PIE adapter to use that radio but that site can set you on the right path.

My 2003 truck had a XM compatible radio. At a chevy dealer in Grapevine TX, for $399 installed, they put in the delco/remy or whatever brand the factory XM plug-in. They drilled the roof hole for the antenna, pulled off the dash panels,etc..etc and wrote down my serial number, then gave me the installation instructions for my records. You DO get 3 months free XM service just by getting the radio. Hard to get used to the black knob on the roof, but now I don't see it anymore. I had looked at a website called GM-parts-direct.com and they sold the same kit for $349. (I think)

BUt you got to install it. I now have a small commute in the Dallas Metroplex and love it. The SAME buttons on the face of the radio are used. On the Band BUTTON, you now get additional XM1, or XM2 bands. The FM1, FM2, AM are still there.

Just my 2cents worth. David

Its XM ready,As dvwright said all you need is the XM kit,Its part number 12498768.

It gives you everything you need to install XM,And you get activation and the first three months for free.

I have installed a couple of these kits and there not that bad to install,Allow yourself a couple hours to install it if your doing it yourself.
