Bed liners

Hi I'm new to this forum. I ordered a 2002 2500HD 4X4 on June 19th. Victory Red with snow plow prep package and trailer towing package. It has the 6.0 engine and automatic transmission. I think I got a good deal on it... the dealer gave me the 2001 invoice price... He said the prices were only going up about ? for 2002 and the the only changes this year would be in some of option packages... My question is this: what should I get for a bed liner? I was thinking about the sprayed on Rhino Liner... Rhino claims that it won't peel or crack... I have a samle that they sent me and it looks good to me... I don't like the drop in liners... they just don't look like they belong there. I usually don't even use a liner but this last winter the salt in the sand i had in the bed did a real bad job on the bed floor in my 1989 2500.

thanks,

Jon

Welcome to the forum. About the question on bed liners any quality spray in bed liner is good. I have had both Rhino Liner and Line-X and I prefer Line-X.

Welcome to the forum.

Currently there is a good discussion in the Aftermarket forum concerning bedliners that you may find helpful.  Check it out.

Welcome to the site wolfie.

I have a GM plastic drop in.  I'd kind of like to have a spray in one, but this one works for me, for now.

Today i heard from a friend that has a Speedliner in his truck... he loves it and there is a dealer about 5 miles from here... much closer that the the Rhino or Line-X dealers that are about 80 miles away... I plan on looking into the Speedliner... I don't care for the drop-in's at all. Thanks for the welcome... this looks like a great place!!! gong to take me awhile to look through it all though...

Yes it is. here is the URL:  http://www.speedliner.com/ the guy that told me about it loves his and said that he researched them all before he got it... said it cost about ? I don't think that is so bad.

I am really picky about my truck and the Line-X was by far the best install I have ever seen. I am from Maine and have seen what can happen when salt and time can do when you have a drop-in liner. I wouldn't even consider one.

Ihave never used a liner before because i don't like the look of them. but this last winter I left some sand with salt in it in the bed for too long and it rusted the floor out.. so when the new truck gets here I want something to protect it... I went to meet the guy that was telling me about the speedliner today... it is harder than the sample I got for Rhino and it seemed thin and I really didn't like the look of the traction stuff on the sides and the bed rails... I think those areas would look better smooth. His was black on a blue dodge and I didn't care for the look... maybe if it was color matched I would have liked it better... I plan on keeping the new truck for a long time so I want it to be perfect. I jut wish the Line-X and Rhino dealers weren't so far away so I could get a better look at them on a truck. I guess it sounds like I'm still undecided huh?
