took the truck to the track

big ole' heavy duramax crew cab/short bed...7200 pounds with me in it.

new best tonight, previous best was 13.2 @ 103.9 mph.

I dunno why my truck always traps really well, but the ET's are never that great. Typically, a duramax that runs 13.2 traps at 100-101mph or so.

torsion bars lowered, mirrors folded in, pass side headlight out, fuel only (never had nitrous on the truck and never will), running custom ECM tuning that I wrote myself with EFILive....no off the shelf chips/programmers here!

R/T - .897 (yuck)

60 foot - 1.802 (also yuck, I did a 1.70 on my first run today)

1/8 mile - 8.26

1/8 mile mph - not given by the track

1/4 mile - 12.98

1/4 mile mph - 107.7mph

I was happy with the 12 second pass, but the trap speed surprised the crap out of me. 12.9 is normally ~103mph on a dmax. 108mph is equal to a low 12, but whatever, im happy with how it turned out. My other runs of the day were sporadic, 13.0 at 104mph, and 13.2 at 107mph.

You took my thread name! Just kiddin, but great run! Diesels amaze me, especailly makeing a 7000lb truck outrun a camaro, and just about every other stock sport car. Its too easy to make power with'em I want to take the truck to the track again and do a few more runs, I only had time for 1 run when I went. I still have a few mods in mind

depends what generation...LB7's and LLY's (crew cabs) run low 16's bone stock.

LBZ's run low low 15's stock. There was a bone stock 2006 LBZ crew cab/short bed at the track that was running 15.3 all day...pretty crazy for a completely stock diesel pickup truck.
