5.3 H.O. vs duramax

How bad would the duramax beat the 5.3 h.o. Everyone ive talked to said that the duramax is the quickest diesel around. I know the 5.3 is a pretty stout motor, its certantly not a rocket ship, but it'll move if need be. I was just wondering...

Well, gotta think the Duramax is in 6-7000 lb trucks. I've read they run mid 15's in the 1/4 mile on here, which is nice for a stock diesel. So basically they run the same times as Z/71's.

I've already seen a 5.3 beat a stock duramax. Was close though.

i ran dead even with a duramax the other day, they still impress the hell outa me

What amazes me is how you can 6 different power settings by just turning a knob. With just a programmer you gain upwards 200 horse and 150 torque.
