Anyone towed with their new one yet?

Took a new Z71 and an LTZ out for some test drives this weekend. Only thing I can say is "wow". They really have a hit on their hands with these trucks. Definitely top of the list at this time.

I currently have an '02 Tahoe, and my wife has said we're gonna need a new truck in addition to it if I want to keep racing since she's going to be taking the horse to shows in the Tahoe a little more now.

All I can say is 'me want'.

Does anyone have any mileage numbers from towing in the the new -900? I especially would like to know how the DOD is working out while towing. Weights and what you tow would be greatly appreciated.

I doubt it as well, and to be honest, you wouldn't want it to tow with DOD. 5 or 6K pounds with 4 cylinders? No way. I usually don't tow in OD unless it's a light load and I'm going about 65+ down the interstate, so I don't really see how the DOD would even "kick in."

I got to drive a new tahoe for work (rental) and it was AWESOME!

Don't worry about the DOD when towing. Under any acceleration it will be in V8 mode, it may switch to V4 when coasting or going downhill, but any sort of pressure on the pedal and the switch to V8 is instant, undetectable, and seemless. There is no lag.

It's a good system and my doubts about it are fast dissapearing
