99 denali headlight issues

i posted a topic a few weeks ago about my lights.

 

heres a few things i figured out may make troubleshooting by the gm gods on this site a little easier;

 

1-at night i have only the drls and no headlights or hi beams.i do have my fog lights when they are turned on(of course i can turn them off manually by switch)

 

2-during the day the headlights will work and sometimes when messing with the high beam switch they will work but not always.

 

3-at night if i turn the light switch on manually on either hi or lo beams and turn the truck totally off after 30 sec or min they will work normally but again turn the truck on and they go back to drls only.

 

any help is appreciated i will send in to get fixed however its a grey zone for me and dont want them to put the screws to me.

 

also if said its the drl module wheres it located?

According to our service information, the DRL module is located... Under the left side of the IP, taped to the IP harness

 

BTW, it has an 8 wire connector. Maybe that'll help you find it.

ok what is the ip harness is that like the wiring going to the obd11 plug in?thanks again

It's th main wiring harness under the IP (Instrument Panel).
