I have the manual, dual zone climate control in my 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD but I would like the automatic. I have seen some automatic controllers for sale on e-bay. What would it take to install an automatic controller in place of a manual one?

This is an oft-asked question and the answer is, it can't be done. Everything is different... wiring harnesses, additonal sensors, etc. Okay, I wouldn't say it CAN'T be done, but you'd be better off buying a new truck that already has the feature. It'd be cheaper. It's not just a matter of plugging in the control head.
