First post... 2002 Denali XL, Driver's Seat Heater

Hey folks...

 

I'm new here and this is my first post. What better way to get started then by jumping right in with a tech question, right?

 

I just purchased a 2002 Denali XL and noticed that the driver's seat heater only works on the "LO" setting and not on the "HI" setting. The LED in the door panel control only lights for LO.

 

I've searched here and see where the seat heater module sometimes goes bad and it's part of the heater pad itself. Does the heater have different elements for LO and HI, or is HI just a function of applying more current or voltage to the heating element?

 

Just trying to figure out what might be wrong.
