NP 261 transfer case help.

What has to be done to split a NP 261? I have a leak where the 2 halves join together. I pulled the t-case and removed all the bolts. But I can only split it about 1/2 inch. Is there something else I need to do to get it apart? Or just pull harder?

  I hadn’t seen this one posted here but may have missed it. https://www.mdpi.com/2075-4442/9/8/74 Just so I’m not burying the lede… 0w16 yes, but 0w20 wouldn’t fair much better. Still can’t figure out why everything is an oil burner?!? 🤣
