1998 Malibu

Hello , i know this isn't a truck but i could really use some help on this one , i have a 1998 Malibu with the 4cyl. motor and auto trans anyhow my check eng. light came on and my son hooked up his OBD 2 scan tool and it said that it was a bank one oxygen sensor where is this located ? i found one down by the converter but the one that i have from the parts store doesn't look like its the right one , is there another one before that one ? and bank one would mean that its the first sensor right ? since i know ( heard ) that they have more then one . Please , any help would be great ! Thank You

ya there usually is one right off the exhaust manifold where the four pipes collect into 1 around where the the flex part of the pipe is.

Thanks i will try and take a look at it sat. , can you see it from under the hood or will i need to get under the car ? thanks again
