are all the truck smallblocks the same from 99-06. 4.8, 5.3, 6.0. Of course with the exception of the alluminum 5.3 in the ssr and ls2 in the trailblazer. Just need to double check before I buy one for my 99 that's labeled 01-04. Thanks.

For the most part they are identical. I think from 99 to 2001 there were some horsepower jumps. I believe the 5.3 went from like 275-285 or something. Not really sure what the exact difference were, but it should bolt up directly with zero modification.

You could find that some of the HP increases came from a cam change or compression. That may screw up the computer in your truck.

 

The engines are the LSx series so bolting things up should be no different.
