Exhaust locations

Does anyone have some pics of different tailpipe locations? I think I want mine to come out behind the tires but not sure. Opinions?

I used the clean look approach with my truck. The exhaust tips come out to the rear of the 1/4 pannels and are angled out towards the ground. Looking at side shot of the truck you can barely notice the tips. IMO it looks better than the big chrome tips.

I just have my exhauste dumping under the truck. I did not want to get the pipes comeing out the back or side. i think it looks cleaner and sounds louder.

Yup...me too.

I wanted to avoid any discoloration of bumpers and I have the 6 cylinder so I wanted a nice tone. I constantly have people telling me how nice it sounds and how clean it looks.

I think I am going to come out with fake duals (single in/dual out muffler) and have them turn 90 to the sides similar to the stock location but on both sides. I have seen too many times dropping through a ditch or backing into a hill, the under the back bumper location getting screwed up. Plus, with the side exits, I can blow out all these low rider, 2 fast 2 furious wannabes right out of traffic. Sitting beside them in traffic gets them everytime.

On my 2000 sierra I am running duals, one out each side, with 3 1/2 inch tips. It looks pretty cool if your into that.

i've got turn downs on a V8 and I hate them. I loved them for the first year I had them, but now they drone on and sound really bad inside the cab. Im getting them put out behind the rear wheels at 90* like you said. I like the way those look.

Got mine back today from the shop and looks and sounds great. I am glad I went the way I did. They are tucked in close enough to the body to not be noticed unless you are looking for them. They sound great too with 50 series Flomaster. If anyone can PM and tell me how to post pics, I will do it. I will also show my black powder coat toolbox, bed caps, and tailgate cap. Looks good too. Merry Xmas to me.... LOL.

go to a website like photobucket.com and upload your pics, and there will be like 3 choices by the picture you upload. I think one of them is actually a forum one now, copy and paste that one into the reply box. it will show it. 50 series would prob sound great, but why did you pick 50's with turn downs? 50's are meant for a quiet cab and turn downs defeat that purpose. any reason you didn't just go for 40's?
