W/T Gray Bumper & Wheel Paint

I've got a 2006 Silverado 1500 4x4 W/T with the painted gray rear bumper and wheels. Does anyone know what that gray color code is? I've got a hair sized scratch on the bumper but I'd like to do my best to fix it up. I went to the dealership and asked them but they don't have the color code and the guy tried to tell me it isn't a code, it's just gray paint. I know there is a code for it, I just can't find it. Anyone know? Thanks in advance.

That bumper paint is strange. . .I just bought an 07 with the painted rear step bumper. Looks like chrome that got dirty. . . Don't care much for the painted 'peek-a-boo' wheels. . . I will change that at bonus time. . .

 

I went through all the codes on my build sheet and don't remember one for that paint. . . I would think Mr. Goodwrench should know. . .

I agree 100% with it looking strange. I'm looking to buy a new rear bumper and some new wheels when I get the money but for the time being I can't afford it. Mr. Goodwrench is the one who said he didn't know actually and said I should try to find one that's 'close'.

I work in the lab for a major paint mfgr. . . The biggest I think. I see some amazing stuff especially chrome paint that looks like chrome not a silver rattle can that we all remember but coatings that look like gold, chrome, silver etc.

 

I bought a can of chrome paint the other day to complete a project I was working on and I was blown away at just how good it looked compared to what I expected it to look like. . .

 

I've worked in the paint industrie for almost 40 years and whenever I get a chance to go to the paint store I am a kid in a candy store. . . Just keeps getting better. . .

I do alot of railroad modeling, and the wheel color reminds so much of a Dupont Imron paint called Platinum mist that is used on passenger car ends and carbon steel bodies to

match the car bodies. Check out the link below, its model paints.
